While in Vegas for SIA, we headed out to the Transworld Snowboarding Reader Poll Awards, which is the chance the the athletes to be recognized by the magazine readers, for their continued progression on the hill.  This is a time where I get a little more humble, being around athletes that I’ve idolized since I was a grom on the hill, way to long ago to speak about.  Like getting in the elavator with one of my earliest icons, Jamie Lynn.  The guy can rip it on the mountain, incredible artist, and from what I hear - all around solid individual.

Seeing Gretchen Bleiler signing autographs for little groms at the show, and having a good time at the awards.  Watching Travis Rice clen up the awards, bringing home 4 awards, or was it 5?  Too many redbulls, and lost count.  Marie-France Roy killed the women’s category again this year, which gets the Rome crew all crazy in their Loathing Las Vegas outfits.  We might have missed Snoop Dogg over at the Palms, but great to support riders we get to work with, and admire the rest of the year.
